I like HTC very much before. I used HTC for one year after the battery is broken. New battery update work down again. And the headphone output is not better.

Does it have any problem with fingerprint making the images blurry and all, and needs to constantly cleared or something like that?

I have seen this issue being mentioned on XDA topic several times, so thought about asking here.

Also how better the camera is in comparison with a Note 4 would you say? Yes I have seen the samples, and they look excellent to my eyes, but same could be said for Note 4.

I digress but this phone is selling really well with music lovers because of its ability to play high res 24bit files ,it also has apple airplay which is a first for an Android phone.

Good review thanks Lars. I’ve not seen the blown highlights much with mine, but tend to leave it HDR Auto mode, and been very impressed with how it copes with clouds.

It captures the full range of tones, where my One M8 would just blow the cloud highlights away. As you say, you can tweak the exposure down a tad, but the slider is a bit hit and miss.

Maybe it will be improved in an update? The corner softness is the main disappointment, made worse I suspect in HDR mode when the multiple exposures are probably not fully aligned.

Please, in the name of all that is holy, STOP using cell phones for closeup “selfies”. All of the Magnum photographers use the same single focal length for everything?

I doubt that. Most HTC 10 users never heard of Magnum and even less considerably less I must say are anywhere near the Magnum level in terms of their photographic skills.

And looking at “selfies” with big noses and ears far back is amusing once or twice: the third time is a loud groan time, Magnum-made or not.

Either this person was badly mangled and misshapen by an industrial accident, this person is actually an alien, or this is a horrifically bad camera for this type of photo.

HTC has been my phone manufacturer of choice for about the last five years. I still have my One M7 that I have been holding onto since the M8 and M9 didn’t seem like enough of an upgrade to make the switch.

With the improvements to the HTC 10 camera as well as processor and battery life, I might finally make the jump this year.

HAd the M7. The rear camera on your M7 still works? The one on mine and my friend’s M7 have the purple problem. Mine now shows a pattern of lines even in bright daylight.

BTW, see my link to the video in my above comment. They sent me a shipping label, I dropped it off at a UPS store, they fixed the camera module and shipped the phone back to me at their own cost.

All within a span of 10 days. Total cost to me was 0.

I think they finally managed to do that with M It is an awful device.

To say they fixed the phone within 10 days is hilarious — who can be without their cell phone for 10 days? Most people don’t even have a landline anymore.

Ridiculous solution. They should have sent out new devices so the person didn’t have to be without a phone.
