That’s why the Lenovo Tab 2 A is a special case, as it has a 1,x, resolution screen. Though it’s half the price of a typical high-end tablet, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 isn’t half bad.

It’s one of the most affordable options with a full HD display and, to complement the HD content on the screen, it also has powerful Dolby-enhanced speakers for crisp and loud audio.

On the flipside, everything else about the tablet is unremarkable. Its humdrum design is unfashionably thick and its heavy weight causes discomfort after using it for awhile.

Performance is also just average, chugging along fine for basic tasks like checking email and surfing the Web, and slowing to a crawl when downloading apps or playing graphics-intense games.

For a cheap tablet, the Lenovo Tab 2 A is an attractive option. Not cheap in a pejorative sense; it indeed costs less than its best competition.

With its sharp display and crisp speakers, you’ll be hard pressed to find another inch tablet that offers the same for less.

If you don’t want to spend a lot on a tablet for heavy video-watching, the Lenovo Tab 2 A should go to the top of your list.

It’s by no means a brick; it just eschews the “thin is in” tablet trend. For an inexpensive tablet, this is commonplace.

The midnight blue plastic back panel features a smooth texture with a matte finish. In certain light, it radiates a subtle metallic shimmer.

On the top of the back panel you’ll find speakers that extend the entire width of the tablet, save for the rear camera in the center that separates them.

The sliding door is very sturdy and will not slip down on its own even when vigorously shaking it, as pressure must to applied for it to slide -Appearance wise it doesn’t look that great in my personal opinion as the case makes the phone look very generic not that it was good looking when naked to start.

Type-C port cutout has enough space for thick third party cables, the two microphone cutouts on top and bottom are aligned perfectly, and the finger print scanner has a super deep sloping groove.

Finger print scanner cutout is large and hard to miss press it blind as your finger naturally gravitates towards it compared to the flat flush placement without the case.

I recommend going into the sensitivity settings and put it up a notch if you plan to use the same grip as before. Phone feels less flimsy than without the case.

Just note that it will make your phone appear a bit thicker than expected. Holds 3 cards for me.

I agree with others who discuss the card compartment door. It doesn’t feel as tight as my previous model. Once the click is overcome, the door slides very easily.

However, the door slides so the compartment is only partially open, so if it accidentally opens the cards would still need to shift a bit to fall out.

Secondly, the texture is much smoother and therefore slippery than I expected. The Samsung version have a rubberized plastic rim that provided a good grip; this is all smooth plastic.

I feel I’m gripping it better more bulkbut it’s still too slick. I’m searching for an adhesive-backed material to apply a few patches on the case to improve this.
